The Nutritionist of the Guardian Shelter/Oak Towers Supportive Services Program is responsible for the operation of the shelter kitchen, food service and dining room, having knowledge of the operation and maintenance of all kitchen equipment. Adhere to all rules & regulations for food service providers as set forth in the Mississippi State Department of Health guidelines and training certification manual. Planning of menu's, purchasing of food and/or supplies necessary to prepare the daily menus as approved by the Mississippi State Department of Health.

Job Description: GSAC is seeking a program assistant to answer the 24-hr crisis line, provide information and emotional support in the hospital and by telephone to victims, family and friends. The individual must assist with community events as well as, general clerical office operation, serve as an escort to healthcare and medical facilities when needed and be expected to network and maintain a cooperative relationship with related professional persons, community agencies and organizations in the eleven county area served by the Sexual Violence Program. The work schedule is from 12:00pm-5:00pm; with some flexibility as needed for community outreach, development and planning of activities as needed.

Full-time position in Jackson area to market, recruit, train, and license resource homes certified by Therapeutic Foster Care of Catholic Charities, Inc. Duties include, but are not limited to, marketing program, recruitment of qualified resource homes, provide pre-service training classes to perspective families, complete licensure requirements for resource homes, maintain thorough and up-to-date case records, and share emergency on-call duty with the other TFC personnel. Job Description: A full-time program coordinator is needed to supervise the development of a public awareness campaign to encourage men and boys work in coordination with organizations to prevent violence against women, girls, and teens. The public awareness campaign will also provide outreach and mentoring to men, targeting African American communities. Community partnerships and collaborations are critical. The individual must be able to travel within and out of state and work with other local and national organizations. The work schedule is from 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday with some flexibility as needed for community outreach, development and planning of activities as needed.

Job Description: The Shelter for Battered Families is seeking part-time relief workers who will screen and admit emergencies during weekends, weekdays, and holidays. Duties include maintaining the day to day order of the shelter activities across the weekend including assignment of rooms, general orientation to new admissions, completion of initial paperwork, supervision of meals, maintaining and recording calls, and supervision of chores. Shift varies from Friday-4:30pm to Saturday-4:30pm and Saturday 4:30pm thru Sunday-4:30pm. Some flexibility is needed to work some daytime and holidays as needed.

Temporary therapist needed to provide counseling to survivors of sexual assault through individual, couple, and family counseling. Case coordination, on-call responsibility, and case management services are required. The length of time and hours of the position are based on the programmatic needs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Relief House Manager of the Guardian Shelter/Oak Towers Supportive Services Program is responsible for the operation of the shelter and assisting clients enrolled in the supportive service program; screening crisis calls, making referrals to other agencies when appropriate, and admitting/discharging clients with instructions of Social Worker and/or Program Director. The Relief House Manager will prepare meals for shelter residents. This position is scheduled to work on weekends and Holidays.
