Program:Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) Position Title: Foster Care Therapist Location:Jackson, MS Classification: Full time Compensation: Date:4/4/17 POSITION SUMMARY: Full - time position in the Jackson area toThe Therapist shall be responsible for the ongoing treatment and placement management for children and youth placed in Therapeutic Foster Care, outreach to their biological families, providing supervision to resource families in carrying out treatment plans and insuring that safe and nurturing permanency planning is prioritized. All services provided are wraparound and strength based. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include, but are not limited to,Provide consultation, supervision and case management services to children and youth with serious emotional disorders, their therapeutic resource families and biological families. Carry an average caseload of eight children/youth per therapist with at least one weekly individual session, with two per month occurring in the foster home. Two family sessions with the therapeutic foster family will occur each month. Contact with biological families within two weeks of admission and at least every four weeks thereafter. Family therapy with biological family will be conducted per DHS service plan. Sometimes after hour calls and appointments outside the boundaries of on-call will occur. These include, but not limited to, meeting therapy requirements, responding to resource families, and other appointments that may not take place during normal CCI work hours. , maintain thorough and up-to-date case records, and share emergency on-call duty with the other TFC personnel. Commitment to wrap - around principles, evidence-based practices and family friendly practice a must. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: .
