The division of Parish-Based Ministries of Catholic Charities Inc., Jackson seeks a full time director for the Social Justice and Advocacy program. The primary objectives of the Director of Social Justice and Advocacy is to raise awareness of issues affecting the poor and vulnerable across Mississippi and with guidance from Catholic Social Teachings, empower Catholics in the Diocese of Jackson to confront systems that perpetuate poverty and injustice through advocacy and action. Activities of the Director of Social Justice and Advocacy will include legislative advocacy at the state and national level, development and direction of the Poverty Task Force (coalition of parishioners focused on poverty reduction efforts), participation in community and agency coalitions regarding social justice issues and development of parish social concerns committees. In view of how natural disasters disproportionately affect people in poverty, the Director of Social Justice and Advocacy will also direct activities for disaster preparedness and response.

Hope Haven residential program looking for a Therapeutic Assistant to provide direct care services to youth ages 12 to 17. The Therapeutic Assistant will assist in carrying out all activities and tasks with the residents that occur on the shift and relating these activities back to the youths treatment plan and to provide for their well being and safety. This is a part-time relief position. Shifts to be assigned can be any from 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, or 11pm-7am. A Bachelor Degree in a Behavioral Science is preferred with specialized training and at least one year of experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents and their families, preferably in a residential setting.
