Hope Haven Crisis Center is looking for a Residential Nurse to provide direct medical care services to Seriously Emotionally Disturbed youth ages 12 to 18. The Residential Nurse will assist in carrying out all required nursing assessments, minor medical care, medication management and coordinating required physicals and TB skin tests with contractual medical facilities. The Residential Nurse is also required to insure the facility is up to date on training in Universal Precautions and for educational groups with youth centering on healthy decisions.

Crisis Intervention Specialist to provide intensive mental health services for identified youth and families in Jackson, MS with Hope Haven Home Based Services a Catholic Charities Inc program. The position will provide family friendly mental health services for identified youth with serious emotional disturbances (SED) and their families. Duties will include treatment and discharge planning; individual, family and group therapy and related documentation. All services are intensive and focus on stabilizing the families’ crisis. Crisis Intervention Specialist provides wrap around services which have strength-based principals. Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are also provided when appropriate. Emphasis on empowerment and partnerships of families with support from the community is also our focus. Work schedule varies according to the school year and will include afternoons, some early evenings and weekends. You will be required to participate in an on-call rotation serving clients who contact our 24/7 crisis line. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Relief House Manager of the Guardian Shelter/Oak Towers Supportive Services Program is responsible for the operation of the shelter and assisting clients enrolled in the supportive service program; screening crisis calls, making referrals to other agencies when appropriate, and admitting/discharging clients with instructions of Social Worker and/or Program Director. The Relief House Manager will prepare meals for shelter residents. This position is scheduled to work on weekends and Holidays.
