New! Full-time/Relief Group Home Program Specialists

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT Position Title: Full-time/Relief Group Home Program Specialists Program:Unaccompanied Refugee Minors Job Description: URM is seeking to employ three full-time Program Specialists and Relief Program Specialists. This position would provide direct care to male youth from various countries who range in ages 16 to 20 in a group home setting. Regular duties would include, but are not limited to: transporting youth, coordinating and supervising activities, preparing and supervising daily meals, supervising chores, supervising all aspects of residential living. The full-time positions that are available are 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The part-time positions that are available are from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday. The weekend hours can be adjusted to accommodate the programs needs. Part-time applicants also need to be flexible enough to cover the full-time staff’s shift in their absence which would include holidays.

The primary responsibility of the position is to provide supervision to the group home staff in an effort to ensure that the residents ranging in ages 16-20 are adjusting to the American society. Hope Haven residential program looking for a Therapeutic Assistant to provide direct care services to youth ages 12 to 17. The Therapeutic Assistant will assist in carrying out all activities and tasks with the residents that occur on the shift and relating these activities back to the youths treatment plan and to provide for their well being and safety. This is a part-time relief position. Shifts to be assigned can be any from 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, or 11pm-7am. A Bachelor Degree in a Behavioral Science is preferred with specialized training and at least one year of experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents and their families, preferably in a residential setting. Highly qualified applicants who have not finished college but who have extensive experience will be considered.
