Job Description: Full-time Senior Management position in Jackson, Mississippi. Duties include, but are not limited to: to supervise program directors and program specialists in the programs of the Parish Based Ministries Division; provide technical assistance to parishes and other organizations as they seek to serve the needs of the disadvantaged; to actively engage in coalitions which help further legislative advocacy; meet with the Performance Quality Improvement team on a quarterly basis to evaluate quality of services, analyze problems as related to programs, and provide input in developing changes to enhance programs and agency function; to participate on the agency’s strategic planning committee; to remain up-to-date on licensure requirements, COA standards and/or best practices in assigned field(s) and ensuring that any new requirements are implemented; and to meet with the Senior Management Team on a regular basis and to provide input into agency policies, procedures and processes.

The Program Director is responsible for developing and implementing structural systems within the program in order to offer direct family-based immigration services to the immigrant and nonimmigrant community. The Program Director will also perform direct client case work in addition to overseeing community outreach and education. The Director will actively collaborate with Parish Social Ministry to advocate for immigration reform.

Position Title: Court Liaison

Job Description: A full-time court liaison is needed to provide support to victims of rape and sexual assault from the initial assault through the disposition of the court case. The individual must be able to provide immediate assistance to victims by providing escort to law enforcement appointments in the Metropolitan Jackson area and/or establishing immediate contact with law enforcement regarding consumer case. Duties also include serving on the County Multi-disciplinary Teams, as well as pursuing means to strengthen the relationship between the Rape Crisis Center, law enforcement agencies, and the District Attorney’s office in service area to encourage increased conviction of sexual offenders. Community partnerships and collaborations are critical. The work schedule is from 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday with some flexibility as needed for community outreach, on-call responsibilities and planning of activities as needed.

Job Description: The Shelter for Battered Families is seeking part-time relief workers who will screen and admit emergencies during weekends, weekdays, and holidays. Duties include maintaining the day to day order of the shelter activities across the weekend including assignment of rooms, general orientation to new admissions, completion of initial paperwork, supervision of meals, maintaining and recording calls, and supervision of chores. Hope Haven residential program looking for a Therapeutic Assistant to provide direct care services to youth ages 12 to 17. The Therapeutic Assistant will assist in carrying out all activities and tasks with the residents that occur on the shift and relating these activities back to the youths treatment plan and to provide for their well being and safety. This is a part-time relief position. Shifts to be assigned can be any from 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, or 11pm-7am.
A Bachelor Degree in a Behavioral Science is preferred with specialized training and at least one year of experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents and their families, preferably in a residential setting. Highly qualified applicants who have not finished college but who have extensive experience will be considered.
