Job Description: Hope Haven Residential Program has four part-time relief staff Therapeutic Assistant (TA) positions available. These positions provide therapeutic direct care services to adolescents ages 12 to 17. Regular duties include planning activities and outings, interacting positively with the residents, maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the facility, preparing meals and snacks, and to carry out orders from the parent, therapist, nurse, doctors, Therapeutic Assistant Team Leader, and/or Program Director. TA staff is responsible for the well being and safety of the residents. Hope Haven is open twenty-four hours a day and applicants must be available to work and be alert for the 11p.m.-7 a.m., 7a.m.-3p.m., or 3p.m.-11p.m shift. This includes weekends, nights and holidays as needed.

 

Qualifications: A Bachelor Degree in a Behavioral Science is preferred with specialized training and at least one year of experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents and their families, preferably in a residential setting. Highly qualified applicants who have not finished college but who have extensive experience will be considered. 

 

Licenses: Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, driver’s liability insurance and a driving record that does not incur increased insurance rates.
