Position Title: Crisis Intervention Specialist

Job Description:
Hope Haven Home Based service is looking for a full-time Specialist. This position will provide family friendly mental health services for identified youth and their families. Duties will include treatment planning, discharge planning, individual, family, group therapy and related documentation. The Specialist will be required to participate in an on-call rotation serving clients who contact our 24/7 crisis line. All services are based on Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, when appropriate, and wrap around strength-based principles. Emphasis on empowerment and partnerships of families with support from the community is also our focus.Work schedule is flexible and will include afternoons, early evenings and some weekends, but will change according to the school year.
Qualifications:
Master Degree in counseling/social work related field is required and two years of experience in crisis, intervention is preferred. Specialized training in Managing Aggressive Behavior, CPR and using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy is preferred. Applicants must be self-motivated, well organized, have above average writing skills and able to use creativity in therapy.
Required License(s):
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, driver’s liability insurance and a driving record that does not incur increased insurance rates. A professional license in counseling or social work is required. LPC/ NCC, LMSW / LCSW, Mental Health Licensure for Counselor accepted.
