Child Abuse Prevention Month during the Easter season is no better time than to celebrate the protection of our most valuable gift from God – our children. Child abuse is an unthinkable crime; hurting, wounding and molesting our society’s most vulnerable and innocent population. April is the national month to learn more about prevention and education and how we can protect all of our children and young people. During this month we recommit to giving every child a safe, stable and nurturing environment that is free from abuse and neglect. The Diocese of Jackson remains committed to helping survivors and their families heal and find peace. If you believe you or someone you know is a victim of sexual abuse by a Church employee or volunteer, please contact the Victims Assistance Coordinator, Ms. Erika Rojas at 601-326-3736. Erika is available to help and support. Attached are Child Abuse Prevention resources that you can use to highlight the importance of protecting minors throughout April. "The Church loves all her children like a loving mother but cares for all and protects with a special affection those who are smallest and defenseless." - Pope Francis Thank you for all you do!
